3. The notice for applicants

1) Online email submissions are NOT possible.

2) Please review the Application Form and Guidelines (attached files) carefully, and prepare the application documents accordingly.

3) Please refer to the department URL links listed in the 2026 GKS University Available Departments file for further details about the departments. Regarding department details and curricula, the GKS Admissions Office will not offer a separate response.

4) The documents you submitted will NOT be returned and additional documents could be required if necessary.

5) For University Track, you have to submit TOTAL 2 SETS of Documents (1 set of ORIGINAL document + 1 set of PHOTOCOPIES). Please prepare the documents arranged in the SAME ORDER as written on the application "CHECKLIST" provided by the NIIED. Incomplete documents or non-submission of 1 set of photocopies will result in the disqualification.

Note: The submitted documents must be submitted in the order of Application Checklist (see attached file called “GKS-G Application Forms”), and in order for us to quickly identify what your documents are, at the top right of each document, the checklist number and document name should be described in the POST-IT, or on a tiny piece of paper strip. However, Application Checklist Documents from No. 1 (Form 1) to No. 10 (Form 10) documents do not need to be described on the Post-IT.

Each of the following documents especially related to 1) Proof of Citizenship, family relationship 2) Graduation Certificate or Diploma, which attests to one's most recent educational background, 3) academic transcripts or other certificates require POST-IT description.

6) Be sure NOT to use STAPLER, use Clips.

7) Don't file each piece of required document separately. Instead, file them all at once.

8) Most of courses are taught in KOREAN (Please check the attached file titled 2026 GKS-G Available Department). Regarding the courses, please go to the URL link below:

9) Candidates with a level 4 or higher on the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) are favored at the application stage, especially if you are applying to a department where Korean is the primary language of instruction.
